Frequently asked Questions

What do I get for my paid registration as a contestant? Fame and notoriety! What more could you want?  Lets talk about the booty.  Cash prizes are determined by the number of entries into the tournaments.  So the more of you that sign up - the bigger the cash payouts.  We also have a ton of schwag from sponsors to give out. For past events prizes have come from RedLynx, RedBox, Atari, Bethesda, Monster, Rockstar, Witcher, and Entertainmart. 

For anyone under 17:  There will be waivers on hand that need to be filled out by parents/ guardians to allow for competing in the event.  This is non-negotiable as the game is rated M for Mature.

How can I pay if I do NOT have a credit card? You can pay by cash or money order at the door on the day of the event. If you are choosing this option, please register on-line in advance of the tournament to ensure that your spot is held. Our tournaments fill up. If we receive advanced credit card payments that threaten your spot we may contact you and ask for a deposit before the tournament date. How and when will I get my prize if I win the tournament? All prizes including cash will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournament.

Who will be watching to make sure the game results are accurate?  We will have tournament referees familiar with the games and the rules to ensure fairness throughout the event.  Anyone using banned equipment or found to be tampering with game settings, controls, or using system manipulating tactics (hacking)will be automatically disqualified. 

Can I bring friends with me to cheer me on or watch me play? Absolutely!  We do not charge a spectator fee for our events at this time. 

What kind of televisions will we be playing on? 22" HD monitors using HDMI connection.  Each competitor will use and individual screen. No split-screen action here.

How will the Xboxs be connected? The Xboxes will be hard wired to cut down any lag issues.  We use LAN port switches, fans, and a lot of power to bring this to you!

Can we bring our own profiles on Xbox flash drives to load on the Xboxs? No - the setups will be done in-between matches.

How are the Team DM adn FFA seatings structured? We run 4-man teams opposite each other on 8 monitors (four monitors per side). Free-For-All heats are run with eight players per heat. The monitors are set up on round tables with four monitors per table - all wired together. Please view the photos on our Facebook page for reference.

Do we/can we, bring our own controllers, headsets, chairs?  Do not bring any equipment.  It will all be provided.

What kind of food and snacks will there be? Do I have to bring my own for the day? Everyone who enters is allowed to bring 1 bottle of water.  No other food or drink is allowed.  Lunch will be provided for those who register and pay for the tournament. Historically this is pizza, chips, soda and/or Monster Energy drinks. Lunch is provided by our sponsors and is subject to change each event.  We will have a concession stand that will be set up.  

What can I wear to the event? We want to make sure everyone has a great time and there are no complications.  With that in mind please be conscious of what you wear to the event.  We will not allow anything considered inappropriate.  This would include profanity, nudity, drug-referenced material, or anything else deemed inappropriate by staff present at the event.  If it is determined that your attire is offensive (completely subjective to the tournament producers) you will be asked to change clothes before being allowed to play.

What time do we show up for the tournament? The doors open at 8 am for check-in and preregistration/open-registration  Registration will be between 8am and 9am with the tournament start at 10 a.m..  Please be on time.

When is the tournament over? Historically our events have ended between 6-8p.m. Depending on the size of the field it could go longer. 

Is there a schedule for the rounds and the tournament in general? Match-ups are done the day of the event due to the volume of on-site registrations we receive.

What are the rules for the tournament?
